Clubs vs. Lessons

The fact is, buying a new set of golf clubs doesn't guarantee a good repeatable golf swing. For some reason, people have no problem spending four or five hundred dollars on the newest, greatest, driver. For some reason, golfers have no problem spending four or five hundred dollars on a new set of irons. For some reason, golfers have a hard time justifying five hundred dollars on a series of lessons from a reputable teaching golf professional that will be beneficial for a lifetime. This needs to change.
This does not mean having a set of golf clubs that fit is not important. It is. The length, the shaft, the lie angle, are all ingredients to a proper fit. However, having a repeatable golf motion is the major key for improvement in any persons golf game. Get a consistent motion, then fit your golf clubs to that motion. Fitting clubs to an inconsistent motion can be done, but is not as precise as it could be. A series of golf lessons could help a person improve and understand their golf game so much more.
In an ideal world it would be wonderful to take a series of lessons to improve, and then get a fitted set of golf clubs to fit the upgraded motion.
